Princess Party 2008

Saturday, May 3 was the fourth annual Princess Party at the Coffey house. The Princess Party is a time honored tradition in our family. It is in honor of our two princesses and is the one night each year when I encourage them to enjoy all of the fun (and messy) stuff that I pretend doesn't exist the other 364 days of the year. In addition to messy fun (which was glitter pens this year), it is a junk food extravaganza. The appetizers are pez and ring pops, followed by a main course of frito pie and cheetos with root beer, followed by snack cakes for dessert. My stomach hurts just looking at all this junk. There is usually some kind of water games after all of that (it's fun and it cleans them up a little), and we end the night with a princess movie of some sort. I always document each Princess Party and make a DVD slideshow so the girls and I can watch it from time to time. They really enjoy seeing how much they grow from year to year. So, for your viewing enjoyment, the Princess Party 2008.

I love the series of them running towards the cake. Great slide show and I know the girls love this tradition they have with you.

What wonderful memories you are making with your girls that they will cherish forever. You are such a great dad and I am so proud of you. I love the slide show and will watch it again when I can turn up the volume. Being at school I had to watch it in silence, but it was still great.

Since the words "organic" or "all natural" appear nowhere in the menu listings, I'm assuming Amy was out of town (or you lied and had her sign off on a menu with asparagus and beets or something).

Anywho, very cool video...your kids are getting big! And when did Maya's hair get so dark?

Ok Ok I am a lurker - coming out of the dark - to tell you - that was PHENOMENAL! I think Pricess Day should spread throughout our country with all little girl dads - I will do my part and see if I can help my hubby incorporate such a wonderful tradition. Thank you.

Curt, I will be the first to nominate you for father of the year award. How sweet of a Daddy you are. And how lucky and blessed are your two girls. Lots of love in your home...I can just feel it!
